Knockando
Yet another distillery that was built in the late Victorian Whisky boom - Knockando, which was situated next to the railway line through Speyside, opened in 1898. After struggling in its early years, W&A Gibley (of gin fame) purchased Knockando in 1904, before being bought by Justerini & Brooks in 1962, thus becoming the "home" of the J&B blend.
Knockando is now part of Diageo, and the vast majority of its spirit goes for blending, with only the 12 year old bottling seen regularly in the UK these days.
