Review |
Enough can’t be said of the quality coming from Sebastien Vincenti’s and Nanou Barthelemy’s estate in the Ventoux, which is located on a limestone plateau on the eastern side of the region. These are deep, rich, concentrated wines that offer loads of personality. - Jeb Dunnuck, LE MILLÉSIME… The 2016s from the Southern Rhone (Part 1), 8/28/2018 |
Wine maker notes |
”Persia” is a wine made from 30-40 year-old Syrah vines with a splash of Mourvedre. The wine is aged completely in barrels, varying from 300 liters to 228 liters. Persia requires 2-3 years aging from its release and can be kept for more than a decade. The wine is inky and displays brawny black fruit and earth with tremendous depth, complexity and length. Only about 800 cases are ever made. |
