The winery’s modern identity and focus on quality over quantity were largely shaped by Mario Pesce, who was among the first producers to champion Barbera as a serious, complex wine starting in the 1960s. Wine Description The aroma is intense and complex, showcasing a bouquet of bright red and dark fruits such as cherry, black cherry, raspberry, and plum, with delicate floral hints of violets and subtle spicy or savoury undertones. On the palate, the wine is dry, energetic, and fruit-forward, featuring flavours of ripe red and black fruits. A signature high acidity—often described as crisp or clean—provides excellent structure and liveliness, creating a refreshingly pure and balanced style. It has a medium body, soft or moderate tannins, and finishes clean, persistent, and powerful.
