Under the guidance of the Palmer team, Alter Ego has carved out its own identity, favouring suppleness and aromatic expression over sheer power. The 2022 vintage offers a deep ruby hue with violet reflections. The nose is expressive, revealing layers of ripe blackberries, cassis, violets, and hints of graphite and baking spices. On the palate, it is medium to full bodied with silky tannins and vibrant acidity, showcasing flavours of dark cherry, plum, cocoa, and cedar.
