Bond Quella 2020 750ml
$2460.00 price per bottle

Nestled in the eastern hills of Napa Valley, the 9-acre Quella vineyard sits on a steep, southwest-facing slope composed of cobble, rocks, and pockets of tufa (volcanic ash). This unique terroir gives the wine its signature minerality and precision. The 2020 vintage is a beautifully expressive example, balancing bright blue fruit, graphite, and a refined, energetic finish. Tasting Notes Color: Deep garnet-purple. Nose: Lifted savory notes of sagebrush and thyme with blackberry and cherry fruits, nuanced by crushed stone minerality, tobacco, and black olive. Palate: Medium-bodied with a saline mineral tinge to the red berry fruits, firm and very fine-grained tannins, and a vibrant freshness. Finish: Long and layered, leaving a lingering mineral impression. Accolades James Suckling: 98 points Decanter: 95 points Vinous (Antonio Galloni): 94 points Optimal Drinking Window 2024–2044. While approachable in its youth, this wine will continue to evolve and gain complexity with extended cellaring. Serving Suggestions Decanting: 2–3 hours to allow the wine to fully express its aromatics and structure. Serving Temperature: 16–18°C (60–64°F) for optimal enjoyment. Pairings: Ideal with roasted game meats, grilled ribeye steak, or aged cheeses like Comté and Gouda.
