A tequila cristalino is defined by filtering an aged tequila and removing most visual traces that the substance has aged inside a barrel. This golden color then evolves into the crystal clear appearance with a slight hue of the many qualities absorbed by the barrel. Cristalinos are typically añejos aged for 12+ months. At Casa Dollero they age their añejo for 18 months because they want to make sure that their Cristalino retains as many flavors as possible from the barrel after the third distillation.
