This Gran Reserva wine takes its name from the restaurant Jean Leon opened in Beverly Hills. Production began in 1969, making it the first Cabernet Sauvignon to be made in Spain. During the Golden Age of Hollywood, La Scala was a popular gathering spot for movie stars like Marilyn Monroe, immortalized in the original portrait by artist Josep Maria Subirachs featured on the label. Food pairing this Gran Reserva is sublime with wild game like venison, roe deer or wild boar as well as with roast beef or lamb. Noble tannins and mature, complex notes make this a truly magnificent wine.
