Producer The Merotto estate is found in Col San Martino, an ancient village in the highlands of Trevigiano, in the heart of the area that produces Valdobbiadene DOCG Prosecco Superiore. Agostino Merotto was already well known at the start of the 1900s, but the main developments on this wine estate came in the middle of the 20th century thanks to his nephew, Graziano, now the current proprietor of the estate. Graziano Merotto took on the family business in the 1980s, when he bought, and built the new cellar on the surrounding land. This winery produces its own products and only vinifies grapes coming from their own estate or smaller neighboring wine growers. The Merotto name has acquired increasing prestige year after year thanks to the high quality of wines which are especially appreciated by both critics and specialists.
