Wine maker notes Guenoc Lake County Cabernet Sauvignon has a fruit forward nose of black cherry, raspberry jam with undertones of herbes de provence. The wine is elegant and soft on the palate and the acidity is very well ballanced. Tannins are soft and melting while still providing enough structure to contend with a hearty dishes, making it a wonderful accompaniment with food or enjoyed alone.
Producer The Langtry Estate is located in the picturesque Guenoc Valley of Lake County. With over 23,000 acres of land, Langtry’s vast property spans throughout Lake County and into the northern tip of Napa Valley. The winery itself was originally built in 1981 to resemble the old Langtry barn still standing across from the Gebhard Hunting Lodge two miles south of the winery.
