Paradigm Winery was founded in 1976 by Marilyn and Ren Harris. Both long-time residents of Oakville, CA, Marilyn’s family moved to the area in 1890 and Ren’s family settled there in 1769. Renowned winemaker Heidi Peterson Barrett has been with Paradigm since the beginning, producing estate grown, limited production, premium wines. One of Napa’s most respected winemakers, Heidi has produced wine for many of the top Napa Valley cult wines: Screaming Eagle, Dalla Valle, Grace Family, Diamond Creek, Showket and Amuse Bouche. Only the best fruit is used for Paradigm, the rest is sold to highly-regarded local wineries like Groth, Nickel & Nickel and Duckhorn. Heidi and her winemaking team practice sustainable farming at the 55 acre estate. Currently, there are 37 acres planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, 12 acres to Merlot, 4 acres to Cabernet Franc and 1 acre each to Zinfandel and Petite Verdot. The wines are made in an Old World style – aged in French oak barrels and matured in bottle. Paradigm has never sought wine reviews. Any reviews are a result of others submitting their wines.
