This 2008, 12 year old Craigellachie is bottled at Cask Strength at 55. 4% ABV. Nose: Fresh and fruity, stewed prunes, marzipan, black tea with lemon. Palate: Elegant sherry with raisins and dried fruits, chocolate covered walnuts, quite malty, sweet but not sickly. Finish: Long and beautifully spiced, more dried fruits, good balance between the sweetness and spices.
