A new range of age stated whiskies released for this lesser spotted East Highland distillery and good additions to the standard and rather uninspiring Fior bottling. The 12 year is wholly matured in ex-bourbon casks that give this whisky a fruity edge. Soft pear, vanilla and spice on the nose. The palate has a mixture of tropical fruit, light coffee and ginger flavours and has good texture without being too weighty. Colour: Sunlight and amber honey Nose: Vanilla and pear, with soft spices Taste: Refreshing nectarine and tropical fruit, with subtle roasted coffee, clove, and ginger. Finish: A memorable finish of sultanas and black toffee
