A vintage 17 year old Speyside single malt that was distilled at The Macallan distillery in 1965 and bottled for the UK market in 1983. This exceptionally rare Sherry-matured Macallan is vastly desirable and rare. A 17 year maturation (in a sherry cask of course), this was released as part of The Macallan's Special Selection range. It was bottled in 1983 but as only full years in the cask are counted, it is still only a 17 year old whisky.
