Another superb value old Grain Whisky, this time bottled by that Boutique y Whisky Company. We have a 45 year old Single Grain whisky from the Invergordon distillery. Bottled at a natural cask strength of 44. 5% abv and one of only 430 bottles. Tasting Notes. Nose - Rich creamy cereal, vanilla, almond and nut oil. There?s a milk chocolate note underneath with a Madeira sweetness. A hint of herbs and tangerine. Drying with a slight tea bittern Palate - Vanilla cream and clotted fudge, pears, syrup and praline. More cereal notes and a salted caramel and sea salt hit. . Orange peel, herbal and honey with an underlying metallic element adding depth. Finish - Malted milk biscuits and a touch of lemongrass.
