Milagro was founded in 1998 by college roommates Danny Schneeweiss and Moy Guindi, inspired by the energy and creativity of Mexico City. Partnering with master distiller Pedro Juarez, they built their brand around 100% Blue Weber agave from the Jalisco Highlands — where red volcanic soil, high altitude, and cool nights produce agave with higher natural sugar content and a distinctly bright, fresh flavour. Milagro slow-roasts its piñas in traditional brick ovens for 36 hours, ferments for 72 hours, and uniquely distils using both a pot still and a column still — the pot to capture the agave's fresh character, the column to add exquisite smoothness. The tall, Mexico City architecture-inspired bottle is as distinctive as what's inside. Now owned by William Grant & Sons, Milagro is the fifth largest premium tequila brand in the US.
