Collection: Hornitos Reposado

Hornitos has its roots in the greatest family in tequila history. Don Cenobio Sauza — the man who first called the spirit "tequila" and first exported it to the United States in 1873 — pioneered the technique of cooking agave piñas in small ovens called hornitos, producing a brighter, fresher-tasting spirit than any before it. His grandson Don Francisco Javier Sauza honoured that innovation by launching Hornitos on Mexican Independence Day, September 16, 1950, creating one of the first ever Reposado tequilas before the word even officially existed. Made from 100% Blue Weber agave at La Perseverancia distillery in Tequila, Jalisco — the same distillery Don Cenobio built in 1873 — Hornitos continues that tradition of bold thinking. Now part of Suntory Global Spirits, it remains one of the most beloved agave-forward tequilas in the US.
